Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using AI Text Cleaner (www.aitextclean.com, "the site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the site.

About the service

AI Text Cleaner is a free, browser-based tool for removing hidden characters, smart quotes, em-dashes, zero-width characters, and other formatting artifacts from AI-generated text. All cleaning happens entirely in your browser — the text you paste is never sent to our servers or any third party. See the privacy policy for details on how the site handles data.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the site in a lawful way. You agree not to:

• Use the site for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the integrity, security, or availability of the site or its underlying infrastructure.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) in a way that places unreasonable load on the site. Reasonable, rate-limited automated access is fine.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code beyond what the site already serves publicly.
• Repackage or resell the tool itself as your own commercial service.

You are welcome to use the tool to clean text for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. You don't need to credit the site for cleaned output.

Your text and content

Anything you paste into the tool stays on your device. We don't see it, store it, or claim any rights to it. You are solely responsible for the content you paste and for confirming that the cleaned output is suitable for your use case before relying on it.

No warranty

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that:

• The site will be available without interruption.
• The cleaning transformations will produce a particular result for any given input.
• The site is free from bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities.

You use the tool at your own risk. Always verify cleaned output before using it anywhere formatting matters (publishing, contracts, code, regulated content, etc.).

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Text Cleaner and Gary Meehan are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or reputational harm.

Third-party services and advertising

The site uses third-party services including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of any third-party service, and your interactions with them are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Intellectual property

The AI Text Cleaner name, logo, design, code, and written content (including blog posts) are the property of Gary Meehan unless otherwise noted. Short quotes from blog posts with attribution and a link back are welcome; please don't republish full articles without permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from your use of the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
